A Gillette Safety Razor with the comb guard and 3 prongs extending from the cap to hold the double-edge blade. From all indications this may be a razor from the 1921 era. The Old Type Gillette razor had the ''double ring'' on the lower handle, two smooth bands around the top and bottom, and the cap/guard was thinner than later models. Serial # P601425 is stamped on the inside barrel of the handle. This number indicates that this razor was produced in August 1921 when serial numbers were discontinued with SN P 679,999.
